Although wheels are an efficient means of motion, Allah(swt) did not cause humans to be born with wheels instead of legs, partlybecause of what a fellow Muslim pointed out -- wheels have a certain range ofmotion and limits in what they can accomplish task-wise. Another reason isthat God left it to us humans to develop machines and other inventions throughthe knowledge, the ability, and the material resources that God Himself gave tous. It is thus that we can say that all credit for creation of the bicycle isdue to Allah -- mankind simply discovered it with the tools that we wereprovided.And I thank Allah (swt) for giving us the bicycle -- what a blessing! A sign points you to adetour. Now if you just go ahead and try to pass throughthe construction site, do you blame whatever befalls you tothe person who put up the sign? Obviously not. You had achoice and you made the wrong one so it is your fault. If,on the otherhand, you chose to use the detour and get toyour destination safely, do you praise yourself by sayingthat you are smart.
