The boxes are opened, but I have never tried to install them. And I am not planning, because the body of my truck is too trashed to need them. I will sell them for $150 obo. chevy truck parts : I know its not volkswagen related, but its still a very cool old car. Mydad drove this '54 chevy truck when he was a kid, and after he had beenmarried a few years it broke down. Well it has sat in my parent's back yardever since. My dad passed away a little bit over a year ago, and I've beenthinking that its about time to restore it. The whole thing is there and asfar as I know its all fairly solid (at least I hope it is). Anyone know ofa good parts store (preferably online) for old chevy's? Any articles, orsites on doing work on old chevy's would be appreciated soon.If any of you are interested I can go take some pictures of it too. Now Ijust need to convine my brother that I'm the one that should get to keep it.There's so many shops with repop chevy truck parts it's crazy. But maybelike ACVW, quality varies. Begin by going to and type in"antique chevy truck parts" in exact search and be overwhelmed. :) Sorry Ican't make a personal recommendation. Your location would be helpful. chevy truck parts : Just how compatible are Chevy truck parts for use on a GMC truck?I own a '71 GMC. I'm wanting to order some parts from the "LMC Truck" catalogbut am concerned that the parts may not be totally compatible with my GMC,since the catalog advertizes itself as Chevy truck parts. The differences between the Chevy and GMC of '71 as far as the naked eye cantell are mainly in the whole front grill area, tailgate and, of course, theemblems. Are there any other differences that are not visibly obvious? Can anyone direct me to suppliers of other GMC-specific parts? This doesn't really answer your question, but when we were shopping for mywife's vehicle (86 S-10 Blazer) I noticed a statement in some Chevy promotionalliterature on the S-10 series that said something to the effect of: "A verysimilar vehicle is sold under the GMC nameplate as the Jimmy." Can you imaginethem saying the same thing about the Camaro & Firebird? The differences are purely cosmetic in the full size truck lines. As longas you are doing mechanical replacements you should be fine, but as you already stated, the grill and such are different. chevy truck parts : Does anyone know of a catalog order company where I can gethard-to-find parts for my '69 Chevy Pickup. I'm especiallyinterested in anyone who has had positive dealings with suchcompany or want to warn me about a bad experience. From: ()Subject: Re: 69 Chevy Truck Parts Catalog? I got seat covers, weatherstrips, rubber bumpers and other parts from Harmon's Chevrolet Restoration Parts. They were quick to deliver and even called me about an error I made thatthey caught. Along with having about the best prices on most items, youcan become a member of their "Safari Club" for $25 which gives an extra 10%off your order (it saved me over $100). They list many things for1947-1972 pickups in their catalog.Harmon's Chevrolet Restoration PartsHighway 27 NorthP.O. Cannon Blvd.Kannapolis, NC 28081(704) 933-8000Another place you might try is called "Tom's Obsolete Chevy Parts". Ihaven't gotten anything from this place yet, but they seem to have alot ofstuff that they obtain from swap meets and such.
